Service Terms

After the birth of your baby, the service fee for cord blood collection, stem cell concentration processing, testing for bacterial and viral infections, immunophenotyping, cryopreservation, and storage in our cryogenic facility also includes the first year’s storage fee.
You can make the payment either in full or through an interest-free installment plan.

Registration

Before your baby is born, you need to register with our bank. This is a simple process during which you fill out a contract and application form, and select the appropriate storage plan and payment method.
After registration, you will receive a collection kit that will be used during childbirth to safely collect the cord blood.

Collection

After the baby is born and the umbilical cord is clamped, your doctor will safely collect the remaining blood from the cord and placenta using our sterile kit.
This process is quick, painless, and does not interfere with delivery. The entire collection takes just a few minutes and poses no risk to the mother or the baby.

Cryopreservation

Freezing stem cells is a delicate and highly responsible process. Since liquid nitrogen has a temperature of –196°C, sudden exposure of cells from room temperature (20–25°C) to –196°C causes severe cellular shock, destroying a significant portion of the stem cells.

The global standard today is to freeze stem cells in a programmable freezer, which gradually cools the cells at a rate of –1°C per minute, ensuring maximum viability.
We also add a cryoprotectant substance, Dimethyl Sulfoxide (DMSO), which protects frozen cells from damage — another internationally recognized standard.

As a result, the viability of our clients’ frozen stem cells is optimally preserved.

Future Use

If your family needs stem cells for medical treatment, retrieving them is a simple process.
Upon request, we will arrange the safe transfer of the sample to the appropriate medical facility.
Cord blood stem cells have been successfully used in the treatment of over 80 diseases, including leukemia, lymphoma, and various immune and hematologic disorders.

Refund Conditions

If the client has made payment according to this agreement, but cord blood collection could not be performed—confirmed either by a medical report stating that the procedure was impossible or unsuccessful, or by the organization’s report noting that the sample could not be obtained due to objective circumstances—then the full amount paid will be refunded to the client.

If the client has made payment but the organization is unable to cryogenically store the sample due to bacterial or viral contamination, and there is an official report confirming this, the client will be refunded the paid amount minus €250 (to cover the organization’s already incurred expenses).

In both cases described in clauses 2.7 and 2.8 of the agreement, the refund will be made within 7 (seven) working days from the date the official conclusion is issued.

Liability

The organization bears full responsibility for any partial or complete damage or destruction of the cord blood sample caused by its own fault—whether due to organizational or managerial errors, or technical negligence or carelessness by its employees.
If the sample is completely destroyed, the client will receive a full refund of all storage-related expenses. In other cases, compensation will be made proportionally, in accordance with the degree of damage and the client’s interests.
